Partialism collages are created by showing a small section of a particular subject in each individual image, and then assembling a set of images in a pleasing manner to provide the viewer with sufficient information to visualize the whole subject. No attempt is made to register the partial images - indeed the top of the subject might be shown above the bottom, and the left and right reversed. The viewer is then left to assemble the individual views in his or her mind to create the whole subject. An example of the technique is shown below.
